Candidates will become well versed in on site carpentry and gain good employment skill as well as gaining their MA at level 2

Work Placement Experience Work placement

experience is an integral part of the NVQ program. Practical experience is gained through on the job supervision and training. It allows young people to develop work based skills, interpersonal skill and preparedness for careers in a chosen industry.

Who’s the qualification for?

This qualification would be appropriate to anyone using carpentry in all areas of the working environment, for example:

  • Carpenters
  • Those who want to work on a building site.
  • Maintenance

Framework for Plastering

  • Key Skills Application of Number at Level 1
  • Key Skills Communication at Level 1
  • NVQ Level 2 in site Carpentry
  • ICA Intermediate Construction Award
  • Employee and employers rights and responsibilities

This will be done Partially On site and party at college for one day per week
Assessors will assess your work both on site and in classroom scenarios, thereby helping you to attain your Apprenticeship at level 2 in Carpentry.

Entry Requirements

Pass the test in Application of number and Communication at level 1
Length of Course: Level 2 12-15 months
Progression Route: Advanced apprenticeship in Carpentry Level 3
